It is a pleasure to be given the opportunity to continue to learn and grow with this fantastic company and Hotel. In this position I work both in Communications in the Guest Services office and also in Front Office. Full knowledge of the Sheraton Melbourne Hotel, Starwood and all Rooms Division operations is utilized.

Currently enjoying a 6 month placement where I am involved in welcoming guests, organising the parking and retrival of valet parking, the distribution and collection of guest luggage and assitsting in concierge duties such as booking and organising itineraries and letters of confirmation for guest tours/limosines/dining.

Rooms Division Practical Training coupled with academic theory. Training executed through both Front Office and Housekeeping Departments and ensured proficiency in the following: Opera interfaced Property Management System, Checking in and out, Posting Charges, Reservations, Porter, Concierge, Account settlements, telephone transfers and guest complaint handling. Linen/Laundry Attendant, Desk Clerk, Public Attendant, Supervisor, Housekeeper.

For my last internship I spent over six months as a Food and Beverage Attendant with the InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto and have been complimented for my speed and attention to cleanliness, neatness and communication. Here I handled up to 60pax functions in the Bluestone bar, high profile guests such as the ambassadors of Italy, Iraq and Israel. I was always personally sought out to handle the Amenities for these guests due to my attention to detail.
