I was one of PhD candidates on Molecular Biology devision of Fraunhofer IME in which we were working on the establishment of plant-based biopharmaceutical production platform. The Fraunhofer Institute for Molecular Biology and Applied Ecology IME is a large biotechnology research institute. The institute has around 410 employees working at the locations Schmallenberg, Aachen, Münster, Gießen, Frankfurt/Main and Hamburg.

In my MSc I did research on the up-and-downstream processing of recombinant human growth hormone produced in transgenic potato.
