I am currently working on an implementation project to replace a global application. My current job is to integrate the new application into our existing landscape using web services. Before starting the integration work itself I was part of the project start-up, planning and preparing for the implementation. I am responsible for the design, build and delivery of the web services.

The IT department was re-organised so that operations were handled separately from development. I continued to manage the same applications as when I was an application manager however I now focused only on delivering application changes. Business requirements, vendor management, funding, project management, testing and delivery remained with me. Operations and support including incident call-out moved to a different team.

My job was to manage the development, support and maintenance of two critical global applications. I had broad responsibilty. On the development side I was responsible for full cycle of change from requirements analysis through design, build, test and into production. On the operation side I was responsible for availability and performance of the applications in production plus incident management.

My job was to work with the business to understand new ideas or changes in current processes, write the requirements and work with our vendors to deliver new functionality. I also planned and executed functional and user acceptance testing.

My job was to manage export pricing from the UK and Ireland to Africa.

My job was help manage African transshipments and to organise European feeder routes.
