European Trainee Program aims to enhance trainees’ knowledge by various courses about project management and nuclear energy, and to improve their experience through projects in different departments and countries. Therefore I worked in mechanical analysis, project management, nondestructive examination and nuclear automation departments in Germany and completed an international project at "Projects and Business Process in Nuclear Fuel" department in Sweden.

The calculation method of oxygen storage capacity and O2 balance in Three-Way-Catalyst (TWC) is successfully utilized in exhaust gas systems equipped with an upstream linear and a downstream binary λ-Sensor. The scope of the master thesis is to validate the usability of the method for systems consisting of only upstream and downstream binary λ-Sensors. Additionally, a new λ-Controller is designed for keeping air-fuel ratio constant during diagnosis phase of the TWC

The aim of the work project was to find similar driving characteristics between any driving cycle and a predefined driving cycle in order to be able to conclude whether the emission of the vehicle stays below or above the threshold. Therefore, operating conditions must be found which lead to similar emission profiles regardless of the overall driving profile.

Various vehicle models are tested in dSpace Hardware-in-the-Loop Systems by using INCA 5.4 and Control Desk Developer 3.4 software programs. To automate testing process, scripts are generated in Test Automation Environment based on requirements of Test Engineers. Test results are post-processed and evaluated to create report for any model changes.
