    Launched portal for vacation rentals (private houses and rooms) in Cuba as an alternative to hotels and tourist resorts. Very low resource allocation. To make it possible, I created a partnership with a Cuban location manager, a Spanish engineer and a French web designer, all specialised in tourism. More than 200 houses available on the site with very good positions on Natural Listings of Search Engines providing a monthly traffic of 3.500 unique users and some 30 bookings

    Mirai - HotelSearch.com

    Accepted an offer to return to Mirai Travel as second on the board and to manage 12 people. Developed new sales and growth strategy, value proposition and product portfolio for the company together with the CEO. Launched the Online Marketing Department from scratch, hiring 2 full time positions and 2 freelancers. Invested in SEO, CPC and SMO over 1M Euros/year to generate transactions with a value of 12M Euros. Re-structured the Sales Department by hiring 2 new full time heads and training 4 others.

    Expedia Inc

    Helped increasing the number of hotels available in assigned areas by 80%, being the center of a team of 2 Sales Managers and 3 Market Coordinators. Generated 95% Y-o-Y revenue growth. Managed the largest portfolio of hotels (450) with the highest growth being the youngest Market Manager ever hired by Expedia Spain. Recommended Expedia to adapt its strategy to the needs of the vacation hotels as a type of product with different needs than those of urban hotels (key adaptation to be competitive).

    Conceived and executed the most innovative Online Distribution project in Spain for an independent hotel (the emblematic Majestic 5* hotel in Barcelona) with 22 contractors from 6 different companies involved. The project remains as a reference in the Spanish hotel sector Generated 107% revenue growth in online sales up to Euros 3M/year through owned websites and through relationship optimization and improve usage of third party channel tools. Increased weight of online sales from 15% to 28%

    Opened company’s second office (Barcelona) at age 22. Led Barcelona market to the first position in revenue generation, overtaking Madrid as the main income source for the company. Built and/or maintained relationships with 106 clients-hotels Pioneered the usage of the Internet in Barcelona’s hotel market as a distribution channel by selling highly innovative online projects for hotels of all sizes and categories.
