My primary tasks are maintenance of the server infrastructure (with focus on Kubernetes related problems, our Ceph-cluster and the monitoring system), support of the developers and QA and deploy of the product on our or customer's sites with future support and assistance of the operational engineers. The preferable deployment’s way is set up a Kubernetes cluster and install the product on top of that with Helm, or using Ansible to orchestrate pure Docker containers when Kubernetes is not applicable.

Developing integration Fuel (OpenStack installer) with VMware, writing Puppet manifests, deploying and troubleshooting OpenStack environments.

Usually I was the only linux system administrator, it gave me great feeling of responsibility because if I can't find a solution --- nobody can.

That was a pure material science job not related to IT except writing some programs for data science in the R language.

I've got Master of Science degree on the department of material science and physics of durability and defended my thesis on the topic "Radiation embrittlement of the weld metal core VVER-440 reactors".
