Jacob Foord

As a session player, I have worked with a number of artists. This includes arrangement, studio recording and live performance work. I have recorded & performed with many artists, spanning a plethora of genres including: The Scaffold (Mike McCartney), Diesler (Tru Thoughts/Freestyle), Kinny (Tru Thoughts), ASM (Wax Tailor, First Work Records) and more including extensive touring of Europe, Festival appearances at Glastonbury, Isle of Wight, The Garden Festival (Croatia) and JZ Festival (Shanghai).

Vessel studios started life as an Art Gallery. After an intensive 10 month build, Ben Morgan and myself built resident artist studios, a 9m wide Infinity Curve and installed a state-of-the-art lighting system. Video work in the studio has ranged from Green Screen interviews to Music Videos. Field work included Promotional videos for The Soul Jets, resident band at The Arts Club, Mayfair. Alongside this, we also produced pieces for Metal Gallery to accompany their Liverpool Biennial exhibition in 2012.

CD, Vinyl and Digital releases through First Word Records, tours all over the world and festival slots including Glastonbury, V Festival, Isle of Wight, JZ Shanghai, The Garden Croatia and Imagina Funk Spain. As well as composition and bass playing aspects I also took on roles organising tours, registering material with collection societies and liaising with music law firms when negotiating record and publishing deals. I also coordinated digital releases for later self-released material.
