Jan Jerig

I co-founded and run a variety Show and production Company in the ruhr area of germany. We have so far produced content for several local institutions, among them the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Stadt Herten and Stadt Marketing Bochum.

Project Coordinator at private university. Project focused on aiding student founders (MINT) in starting businesses. Budget controlling, planning of workshops and events, media production (Podcast).

I was part of a task force initiated in 2020 by Netzwerk Universitätsmedizin (NUM) in order to coordinate research pertaining to the 2020 CoVid-19 pandemic. I coordinated information flow between university clinics in the greater Ruhr area, NRW and the Charité clinic in Berlin.

I was interning at Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft in order to get a new perspective on working at foundations. I was integrated into a team that redesigned and coordinated an internal diversity program for future application in university management. I was also tasked with reviewing applications for grants and scholarships and prepared interviews of foundation members for future publishing.

I volunteered as a news caster at my university's Radio station. Completed training as news caster and worked regular shift in the station's programme.

Interned at campus Radio. Attained insight into basic workings of news roomsaand journalist workflow. Produced content for broadcast Media.

History of Laboratories (17th century/scientific revolution/20th century); philosophy of thought experiments; science and technology studies (hybridity concepts in late capitalism, science communication).

Practical philosophy (ethics), philosophy of science, modern american literature and science fiction, cultural studies USA/UK. Thesis: "Subjekt und Objekt in der Tierethik".
