Jan Petersen

As a member of the RAS Solution Set "Trust and Transparency Solutions", I assist clients to manage and communicate their risks arising from the use of IT systems and emerging digital technologies such as Cloud Computing or Robotics. Specialized in assurance reporting on system and organization controls (SOC) as well as internal controI systems (ICS) and IT general controls (ITGC) I contribute to build trust and transparency in an increasingly digital regulated business by transforming risks into confidence.

As a young professional in the accounts department my daily tasks comprised account assignment, checking and posting incoming invoices, processing payment transactions, balance reconciliation, master data maintenance and preparatory year-end procedures. After familiarization I took over the role of key user for the implemented ERP System IFS Applications and was responsible for reporting issues to business analysts and testing customizations on the finance module.

After my experiences in accounting I decided to improve my knowledge and capabilities by studying economics in the fields of Controlling, Information Management and Business Administration. My thesis dealt with the impact of the GDPR on digital technologies, in particular on big data.
