The assignment is to teach 1st year students how to program Lego Mindstorms NXT robots. Besides, the students will get an insight into the world of Engineering and Computing Science. Most of those students will program the robots in a Labview-based Environment, but there is also the possibility for students who would like to have a closer look to program the robots in C.

This internship’s assignment was to create a module for an intelligent surveillance camera which is capable of compressing Multi-Megapixel images into the JPEG 2000 format.

The assignment of this Internship was to create an interactive TV Application which uses the MPEG Transport Stream and DSM-CC (Digital storage media command and control) technology. With the use of DSM-CC custom data had to be embedded into an existing MPEG Transport Stream on the server side without changing the stream to a proprietary format since it should be still MPEG compliant. On the client site, this embedded data had to be extracted and stored in a cache for further use.
