Leading and contributing to research projects on “Carbon Capture and Storage” and “Process-Upscaling” Managing the group’s thermodynamics classes, involving the coordination and preparation of lec-tures, exercises, and exams Designing a new laboratory for electrochemical research and serving as Safety Officer, drafting a comprehensive safety protocol

Research Group Leadership: Managed a group of 7 PhDs & 10–20 students, overseeing daily operations, ensuring research excellence as well as representation in the scientific community. Secured >1M€ in public funding from German Federal Ministries (BMBF & BMWK) as well as numerous industry projects focussing on prototyping new technologies. Developed the medium-term strategy for the research group & managed large-scale instrumentation projects, including the procurement/commissioning of a >300k€ system.

PhD in the field of sorption technology Experimental Innovation: Engineered and operated fully automated experimental setups for low-pressure water evaporation and thermal heat pumps. Model-based scale-up and process optimisation: Experimentally validated dynamic models and successfully employed the models to scale-up to optimal industrial processes.
