Javier Lujan

As a technical leader, I had the responsibility of tackling the development of 2 MVPs, each within a 3-month timeframe. My tasks included contributing code, making architecture decisions, and ensuring maintainable and scalable development. I worked alongside a team of 4 programmers, 2 frontend and 2 backend, while also serving as a fullstack developer. The stack consisted of React.js, MongoDB, and Nest.js deployed on AWS.

My main task was to lead a team in developing a fintech platform from scratch, building upon the code of a prototype. Besides migrating the inherited code and its corresponding documentation, it was crucial to apply design patterns and redesign the monolithic architecture into microservices to ensure scalability. The project utilized Nest.js, React.js, RabbitMQ, and MongoDB with AWS. In addition to technical tasks, I had the challenge of successfully managing and mitigating CEO micromanagement.

In my role as a tech lead, I faced the challenge of making structural changes to the development of a truck logistics platform. It was a very large monolith developed in Express.js and React.js without TypeScript, with all the maintainability challenges that entailed. My job was to lead the ongoing development while simultaneously implementing typing, testing, documentation, and reorganizing development priorities.

In charge of developing a hosting platform similar to Airbnb alongside a team of two other full-stack programmers. We built the platform from scratch, defining the entire architecture, CI/CD, and infrastructure. My main task was to lead the technical team using NestJS, React, MySQL, CircleCI, and hosted entirely on AWS.

I was tasked with coordinating 50 people remotely across Argentina for the development of training activities and support for technologically oriented entrepreneurs, providing guidance, mentoring, and networking through entrepreneurship clubs. Also I was responsible for coordinating 15 people remotely for the development of programmer training activities through an online platform and in-person support. The goal was to train 100K programmers as Trainees or Junior Developers, in the best-case scenario.

I was assigned the Innovation and Entrepreneurship department with the objective of developing activities and policies related to promoting innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship in the city. Leading a team of 15 people, and in conjunction with other teams, we created Argentina's first entrepreneurs' club, provided seed investment funding, and established an innovation center for education.

I joined a team to develop a mobile application using Apache Cordova, jQuery, and consuming APIs from a PHP and MySQL backend. I worked alongside a larger team maintaining and implementing new features both on the mobile side and in the backend.
