"Adaptive Online estimation of State of Charge and Parameters of Li-Ion batteries" The most important function of a BMS is to provide an estimate of the SOC. An Extended Kalman filter has been used to accurately estimate the SOC of batteries. Recursive Least Squares is used for online estimation of time-varying parameters. The aim of this thesis is to overcome the problem of model inaccuracy by finding the dynamic model parameters online and using it to estimate the State of Charge accurately.
Working under minimal supervision, understanding the working of lead acid and Li-Ion batteries, cell modeling and simulation with modelica, Battery Management Systems (BMS) and Balancer simulation, cell measurements, Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy.
