Coming to see a therapist is an important decision, and can be a difficult one. If you have never been in treatment, you may not know what to expect. Whoever you see, you should expect to be treated with respect and careful attention. My approach involves, among other things, putting myself in your shoes and getting to know what hurts you, so far as I am able, and then working with you to figure out what we need to do in therapy.
