Responsible for 2nd & 3rd Line support for Surrey Primary Care Trust, Supporting 500+ Users, 30+ servers running Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft Back Office Applications across the 3 sites. Supporting 136+ Doctor Surgeries in Surrey with over 3000+ Users. Dealing with calls logged by the Service Desk which are escalated to Network Team via a call logging system using ITIL methodology.

Responsible for documenting the company’s global infrastructure and auditing the hardware and software across the European sites. Reviewing the current infrastructure and making improvements where necessary as member of the Microsoft CRM project team.

Responsible for provision of all technical & IT solutions for Daiichi R&D UK office. Involved in global working parties to harmonize the IT infrastructure across the Daiichi Clinical Development sites. User focused to supply support both desktop and back office support.

Provided administration and support for the Post Office network with over 800 users across 6 sites in the London area. Work included installation and configuration of Microsoft operating system and applications across the Post Office network.

Installation and configuration of software on test servers with downloads from the main server. Other responsibilities included checking backups, LAN performance and troubleshooting other networking problems.

Installation of Windows NT 4 and Novell 4.1 onto different sites across the group. Implemented an e-mail server for Lotus Organiser using the CCMail Post Office to schedule meetings. Support and administration of 3 Novell 4.1 servers. Responsible for preparation of the project plan and implementation. Other responsibilities were to install applications onto the servers and workstations.

Responsible for installation of Windows NT 3.51, Novell 3.12. I also installed Oracle 7.1 and client software for Oracle and configured it to work over SPX and TCPIP.

This Role involved the support of Novell NetWare 3.12, Windows NT 3.51 and LAN manager. All these where running on an IEEE 802.5 Token Ring network. Other functions included administration and installation of server and email server and PC Support for AS/400 and all applications. The Software and hardware deployed supported users from 4 different companies within the SAUR Group.

Administrating and support of Novell NetWare 3.11 for 150 users. The position involved disaster recovery and network administration tasks. Fault finding of network problems and general software installation and upgrading on the network.
