Student assistant in software development and maintenance at the Institut für angewandte Informationsforschung for its technical manual writing technology CLAT and its project management tool UMMT. Development in Java using a MSSQL database environment.

Part of a research group in the CRC that started in October '14 at Saarland University. Our group - B1 - deals with measuring Information Density in scientific, historical texts. In our first approach, we conducted classification experiments on several diachronic corpora using language models.

As an extension to the work my advisors and I had conducted in my bachelor thesis, we ran new experiments on new data, which led to the publication of a paper in the NLP4CALL workshop '15.

Part of the educational team, responsible for the analysis of possible improvement strategies of the course contents on a pedagogical and linguistic level - also taking into account design and computational feasibility. I mainly worked on Adaptive Learning by planning and elaborating a Spaced-Repetition-based algorithm to review vocabulary in an efficient and interesting manner.

As an extension to the work I had done in a software project, I worked on: Improvement and redesign of the voice and language installation process for the open-source text-to-speech software MARY TTS, application of the dependency management tool Ivy and creation of two UIs for component management, help in issue resolution, user support and roll out of new versions.
