Cleaning rooms of the Holiday Inn.

Havanatur is the #1 travel agency in Cuba. I led tours of American and British tourists throughout the entire island - sometimes for weeks at a time. I also gave 2-day tours in Havana for American visitors arriving from cruise ships.

My responsibilities included management of the hotel's social media channels (promotion, updating offers and services, handling complaints, etc), rental of meeting rooms, supervising quality assurance of all departments, and warehouse stock control.

My responsibilities included data-entry of seasonal room prices according to the different contracts agreed with tour operators, managing meeting room rental, and handling reservations from clients for the pool area. Previously: Maintaining cleanliness of the hotel swimming pool, gardens, parking lot, office windows, halls and lobby.

Greeting customers, taking orders, recommending products, serving food and beverages, communication with customers to resolve complaints or ensure satisfaction, handling payment, and maintaining cleanliness.

I taught basic English (for beginners) to 11 and 12-year-old students part-time (4 classes, each with about 30 students).

One of 20K students chosen from 60K+ applicants for the Web Development Frontend Track 3-month suitability assessment course. Selected as one of only 2000 of the best students awarded a further 6-month Frontend Nanodegree scholarship, whereby I studied web development and accessibility.

At this school, students are prepared in sciences in order to choose the career they want at university. Only students with outstanding qualifications can attend this school. My final grade was 99.38 out of 100 points and I ranked 9th place from approximately 1300 students.
