Datascope is a double award winning recruitment search and selection consultancy. We focus on the Digital Entertainment market - Games Jobs; Online and Mobile Entertainment Jobs; and Technology Jobs. Specifically this includes video games, mobile games, eGaming, casual games, social media and the technologies behind these applications.

My role was to provide financial analysis and advice on takeovers and mergers etc for this public company whose main activity was investing in advertising, marketing, recruitment and interior design.

This was my second time at IBM - previously I was a programmer for the System 3X and AS400 range of computers. This time I was in a sales and marketing environment. A great company, but not right for me.

I qualified as a chartered accountant but although some of it was fun and Deloittes was a terrific firm, I really wanted a more analytical and mathematical role.

My first programming role, for 7 months before university. I was one of the last people to use punch cards. This formed the seed of a life-long passion for computer programming.
