Development of a 2D-triangulation setup for in-situ sample surface measurement during high power laser penetration. The topic followed experimental research (scanner parameters studied for different materials, derived a suitable alignment of the scanner for measurements), data analysis was done using python (linear regression, linear interpolation), and the results were validated. The aim of developing a new measuring technique in the field of high-power laser metal interaction was accomplished.

Advanced online process control for high speed laser machining of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP). The topic follows simulation using LabVIEW (instrument control, data acquisition and industrial automation) and validation of the results.

Simulating the polarization effects in a heterodyne interferometer with or without using wave plates. The topic follows simulation using Ifocad c ++ (placement of beam combiners for optimal contrast, equalization of path lengths to each other or predefined values and removal of stray beams).
