-Review of various sources to identify low-cost, low-energy solutions for designing sensors for monitoring climate in tropical developing cities -Review of literature on urban climate research in Africa -Development of research focused on quantifying and mapping Green Infrastructure benefits and mapping ecosystem services in the global south context -Grading of Masters student thesis projects

-Served as a demonstrator for GIS and remote sensing practical labs for undergraduate and master programmes in Geography and GIS respectively -Offered tutorial support and assessed students’ assignments and exams

-Assessed the benefits of urban green spaces as a nature-based service for urban heat island mitigation, and how urbanisation in turn affects seasonal growth of vegetation in cities -Managed project data sets derived from satellite imagery and field observations -Organised fieldwork activities and supervised 4 field assistants overseas -Reported research progress quarterly to project funders and academic committees

-Applied GIS to establish changes in home range of gorillas undergoing habituation (for tourism) as the basis for determining the progress of the habituation process -Used GIS and map reading to carry-out filed surveys for mountain gorilla censusing -Responsible for coordinating and managing the logistics of ongoing project activities
