I led Bayside Orthopedic Surgical Practice; starting the business from a simple plastering room in a major private hospital. After renovations and a new business plan, the operation expanded to more than $1.33 million in annual turnover. This experience has given me deep insights into the machinations of small business. Hired as a founding Senior Associate. Specialised in C-suite executive placement. I developed operational plans including targeting prospective clients; and client research/analysis on business needs. I specialised in replacing senior expatriate executives with local candidates taking on Country Manager Leadership roles. Clients: Apple, Intel, Dell, Braun, L'Oreal, Hill & Knowlton, Johnson & Johnson, AT&T and Microsoft.

I worked under direction with (then) Victorian Premier, Jeff Kennett, the CEOs, mayors and appointed commissioners of the three local councils of Kew, Camberwell and Hawthorn to facilitate their amalgamation into the City of Boroondara. More than 150,000 ratepayers and 1200 staff of the former local councils. I worked closely with the Commissioners’ Executive to design, develop, communicate, implement and monitor effective operational plans.
