Ken Bellamy

I dealt with international clients in countries such as Japan, China and South Africa. My responsibilities were processing orders from customers and liaising with colleagues on product availability and dispatch arrangements. I developed strong administration and customer service skills within a short period.

Reporting to the Senior Manager in charge of Production Planning, my role was to translate technical documentation, verify test plans with mobile devices and provide quality assurance feedback promptly, liaising regularly with headquarters. I demonstrated an ability to work very well under pressure and take initiative.

In this position I was involved in the daily planning and implementing of purchasing procedures, developing key elements and establishing criteria for suppliers both in the UK and overseas. I demonstrated self motivation in my work, with the ability to multitask, solve problems, meet deadlines and respond to changes in demand and logistics.

Distribution Clerk: I planned and managed the flow of books from suppliers, dispatched orders in accordance with shipping schedules, and dealt with obtaining UK and German publisher knowledge. I developed my skills in team-working and meeting tight deadlines. Export Clerk: I handled daily export requirements for customers. I demonstrated excellent customer service in the role, and met the requirements efficiently and effectively.

In this role I contributed very well to expanding group sales, by targeting potential clients, identifying their needs, presenting itineraries and quotations, and maximising competitiveness through competent and thorough planning, successfully maintaining customer satisfaction.

I was responsible for compiling all documents and recording details on imported and exported cargo before it was shipped from port, as well as authorising and arranging the collection of cargo.
