Responsible for the design, development and construction of prototype systems for an automated sample processing machine. Established the design transfer and product release procedure within the company.

Responsible for the design, development and validation of Air Induction Systems and Engine Covers. Creating concepts and developing systems through to full production, minimising costs, whilst achieving the performance with a premium appearance. Generating FMA documents to define test cases and ensuring the product meets the quality requirements. Managing suppliers and CAD engineers across multiple countries to ensure parts are delivered to the required maturity level on time for each stage of the project.

Project managed the delivery and handover of machinery and improvement projects in multiple Assembly plants with projects running in parallel. Developed cell layouts, created business cases, secured budgets, and managed installation to enable efficient manufacturing of new products. Designed and sourced new components for facilities to implement containments and PCA for open issues. Implemented preventative measures into internal engineering standards for development of future products and plants.

Led the delivery of a manufacturing process development project, worth ca. 20% of company's annual turnover to increase the company’s manufacturing capacity. Implemented automation in CNC machining, welding and assembly, including the design of jigs and fixtures with SolidWorks, to reduce cycle time and manufacturing cost of new and existing products Designed the layout for a new machine shop and procured equipment. Reported and presented project progress to InterTradeIreland to maintain project funding.

Assisted in the specification and delivery of manufacturing facilities for the introduction of a new implant coating cell. Designed cell layouts using AutoCAD. Prepared validation documents, process flow diagrams, and FMEA for equipment to ensure the production line met the capability requirements and installation was completed safely and on time. Procured new equipment for the cell and managed the upgrade of CNC equipment as a cost saving measure. Performed Site Acceptance Tests for a number of machines.
