Principal tasks: • Geometry generation of test bench starting from engine head in SALOME • Meshing with the tool SnappyHexMesh • Stationary simulation in OpenFOAM • Analysis of result with ParaView • Automation of procedures with Bash and Python scripts

Learning and application of 3D CFD software AVL Fire for the dynamic simulation of internal combustion engine with the injection of water. Simulation also of combustion processes. Principal tasks: • Meshing of cylinder and intake/exhaust duct with tool Fame Engine+ (Fire) • Calculation of data for the set-up of simulation with the Excel spreadsheet (e.g. angular step, injection time) • Dynamic simulation in Fire • Creation of script in Bash and GNU Octave for the post-processing of results

Engine test bench set-up and software monitoring (TestIT, OBI, Etas INCA). Data acquisition, calibration and analysis with scripting in MATLAB. Principal tasks: • Engine test bench set-up for Ferrari F154BB engine • Test execution • Scripting in MATLAB for: detonation analysis at various angle of advance; identification of real position of TDC through cylinder deactivation

Carbon axle shafts design for Formula SAE single-seater car. Principal tasks: • Preliminary design calculations in Excel • CAD realization of axle shafts in Inventor • Set-up for track tests

Manufacturing of components for car lifts. Principal tasks: • Use of Mgr 3-axis CNC milling machines in Heidenhain programming language • Use of manual lathe

Manufacturing of precision components for client companies. Principal tasks: • Use of the Hurco 3-axis CNC machining center in WinMax programming language • Use of manual lathe
