Development of performance standards for Network Operations

Engineer Transport in Network Engineering : Defining of and updating of design standards. interfacing with vendor for the introduction of new capabilities. Developing designs for DWDM capability within the Agile environment.

Developing solutions for the Optical Transport Network. Maintaining a close working relationship with suppliers and stake holders. Setting planning standards and updating or adjusting these if necessary. Addressing Engineering issues raised through internal process . This role was an initial 6 month secondment and had been extended to the maximum 12 month. It was a fantastic opportunity to experience the Architecture site of the Transport business.

Responsible for work scoping, for the planing engineers. Identifying available DWDM/Fibre capacity and initiating additional capacity request if required. 15 month forecasting of work requirements .

Through FinXl Contracting to NBNCo I am currently working within the- Transit Engineering department. Planning for FTTx deployment using spatialNet. Transit planning preparation of DWDM NDDs
