Starting from ‘blueprinting’ process, my prime responsibilities include requirements management, creating business specifications, requirements analysis, creating functional spec, conducting walk-throughs to project teams, obtaining sign-off from customer, change management, impact analysis, gap analysis, risk assessment, creating new business opportunities through quality deliverable artifacts such as wire-frames, business/functional specifications and being a bridge between all the stakeholders.

Collecting requirements from user community located at various geographies of the USA, validating, analyzing and formulating them as specifications for development and QA teams – lead a team of BAs along with playing an individual contributor in requirements gathering, preparing business-impact-statements Document-of-Understanding & conceptual design documents; conducing JAD sessions, performing gap analysis, participating in quality assurance activities and being a bridge between SMEs, DEV and QA teams.

Worked for The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) of Massachusetts State, USA that wanted to procure an off-the-shelf Event Management System and to customize for the entire office use. Worked with the IT team to meet-up with para-legal practitioners to capture requirements from all the 29 divisions and initiated Request-for-Proposal (RFP) and Request-for-Tenders (RFT). Participated in evaluating the proposals for vendor selection.

Gathering and understanding requirements from customers, documenting specifications and conducting review sessions, obtaining sign-off, conducting walk-through to project teams, designing feasible solution, developing, testing and deploying. Applied Six-Sigma within project life-cycle which resulted in cost benefit of 1.3 million US dollars (effort translated to cost) – received “Certificate of Achievement” award from chairman for making it the “best project” of the year.
