In my current work I manage different Linux systems in a higly secure environment. My responsibilities includes installation, monitoring and management of these systems.

I worked as a consultant at Nasdaq OMX via Perido skills. I was in charge of the monitoring of the systems that hosted several different financial markets. Some of the tools I used was HP OpenView, HP Network node manager, the case management system Remedy as well as several different Nasdaqspecific monitoring tools. On weekends I was also responsible for 1st line support as I received emails and telephone calls from customers.

My work responsibilities included, amongst other things troubleshooting hardware and software, installation and replication of operating systems, as well as assemble computers and soldering works. Since Sensor Control Nordic operates in industrial automation, I have had the opportunity to work with many different and interesting systems which I have never used before.

My role could be described as an operations technician because in general my responsibilities involved operation of networks, servers and client computers. The servers used Windows, Linux and Mac OS X server. The Chimney Pot manages large data quantities, which is why I worked on configuring and operating different SAN solutions as well as backup and archiving of data to tapes.
