I was responsible for our team of games writers and freelancers, weekly publishing schedules, execution of team meetings, quality assurance, implementation of sales projects, publisher relations, community management, website strategy, public video appearances and maintenance / improvement of all Social Media channels. Whenever possible, I still wrote reviews, specials, event reports and opinion pieces about current video games and pop culture discussions.

My main task was creating varied text and video coverage about games to be a perfect fit for our diverse distribution channels. This included reviews, previews, specials, event reports and entertainment pieces, either YouTube, Social Media, landing page or SEO optimized. I also maintained all official Social Media channels, created editorial workflows for the existing team of writers and was responsible for casting and applications, which got me the position of editor-in-chief and team lead.

During my time with IDG I've worked on articles/videos for their outlets GamePro and GameStar, as well as for the YouTube Original channel High5 - a cooperation with Google and YouTube. My tasks and responsibilities: research, writing, editing, hosting shows in German and English, project + community coordination, guest management, setup and maintenance of all relevant social media channels. On top of that I executed a short PR and marketing campaign in autumn 2012.

International PR and Social Media. Some of my clients: The Pokémon Company International, PopCap Games, Square Enix, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Nexon, Gameforge. I worked on client pitches, PR strategies for a wide variety of games in up to 9 countries, press releases, press events, social media, conventions, sampling and community events (e.g. Pokémon Video Game Championships).
