MEMS R&D Intern
Robert Bosch GmbH
Set up and executed a DOE for the optimization of process parameters for a LPCVDprocess. Characterized LPCVD deposited layers for the optimal functionality of MEMS structural layers utilizing UV/VIS elipsometry (thickness measurements), 4-point sheet resistance measurements and surface profilometry bow measurements (residual stress). Designed and executed experiments for the determination of exhaust particle sensor failure modes and provided numerous mitigation and failure prevention strategies.

CCM R&D Co-op Student
Ballard Power Systems
Analyzed raw materials and characterized the relevant properties of interest with regards to fuel cell catalyst. Performed measurements/analysis such as particle size distribution, level of agglomeration, residual contamination level , porosity and surface structure. Statistically analyzed material and component properties in terms of effect on fuel cell performance to create a more repeatable and predictable manufacturing process.
- 5 Monate, Mai 2011 - Sep. 2011
R&D Assistant Test Engineer
Prudent Energy
Designed and modified kW-scale battery testing apparatus that involved extensive use of AutoCAD and SolidWorks which required electrical and mechanical troubleshooting including consultation with engineering colleagues. Created engineering documents including: product assembly and equipment work instructions, design verification test plans and reports and purchasing requisitions. Operated battery test stands using LabVIEW platform; Wrote sections of code to improve program.
