As a System Engineer within the Technical Marketing of the Battery Technology Center (BTC) of Samsung SDI Europe I am responsible for planning and implementation of Energy Storage Systems (ESS) for customers based in Europe that are operating worldwide.

Since April 2015 I am working in a leading role in the maintenance management of three power plants at Vattenfall in Hamburg, Germany. Here I have a big variety of responsibilities which are project management, quality management, management of external companies as well as public bodies. I am as well working in detail on specific maintenance projects and do construction and calculation.

I was working 2,5 years as a scientific staff in a joint research project about an electrochemical energy storage System. Here I gained a lot of knowledge in electrochemistry and to work with an interdisciplinary team consisting of universities and companies. Target of the project tubulAir± was the development of a Tubular Vanadium Air Redox Flow Battery which is capable of storing vast amounts of electrical energy in a cheap and energy efficient manner.

At the HAW I gained knowledge in all fields of mechanical engineering. But as well we learned programming with Matlab, electro technology and some basic economy skills and additional courses, for example rhetoric.

In the first three month I learned all about the Basics in media applications. Afterwards we did practical lessons in recording and mixing and theoretical lessons in electronics, types of microphones and application for example.
