After two years at the Cambridge Union in publicity and welfare positions, I was selected as Vice President for 2023-2024. As Vice President I managed a committee of 50+ volunteers and worked with permanent staff to serve 70,000 life members. I served as a trustee of the charitable branch of the society and sat on its corporate board of directors. Provided student services for Homerton College student body, including free holiday storage, liaision with college catering department, and guest bicycle and bed rental programmes.

Conducted domestic and foreign policy research on Policy and Politics team, assisting in curating events on policy objectives. Identified, summarized, and assured quality of relevant research and resources, combining persuasive writing with data-driven research. Planned and delegated tasks within research intern team to ensure on-time delivery.

This role included hosting office hours for member and committee concerns, attending events to ensure welfare and accessibility standards and policies were met, and undertaking formal safeguarding and complaint procedures in service of mediating interpersonal conflicts.

Elected to be key student representative for Cambridge University’s largest college. Liaised with college staff and university representatives to resolve welfare concerns of 800+ students, training in first aid and mental health first aid. Organized social events and research-driven trainings in antiracism, consent, and self-care.

This work began with the design of the Easter 2022 Termcard, and continued through the Lent 2023 Termcard, the Easter Term Garden Party campaign, and social media graphics for various events. The focus of my graphics was professional and cohesive branding suited for a variety of uses, including print, email newsletters, Youtube, Facebook, and Instagram.

Assisted the Homerton Union of Students Target and Access Officer in various projects including running access-oriented College social media accounts.

Producer, guest, and host for the IDEAS Podcast on the Bear Radio Network. Moderated and participated in recording with student speakers and external guests. Advertised podcast episodes to thousands of listeners by creating logos, social media branding, and website graphics.

Shadowed in theatre lighting, sound, and stage management at performance art theatres. Worked with administrators and performers to organize rehearsals, and managed production goals in a multilingual environment. Also interacted in a front-of-house capacity with audience members.
