Lorenz Henggeler

Joined Swisscom in systems engineering; my role evolved into DevOps, full-stack engineering and technical leadership for private cloud products. I build orchestration services across frontend, backend, APIs and automation, contribute to architecture, and bridge platform, product, customer and presales perspectives. My work includes CI/CD, testing and on-call operations. I also spent 50% of a period helping build an SRE-as-a-Service platform, and use AI in development and team knowledge sharing.

Worked directly with customers in security-sensitive public-sector and regulated-industry environments, designing and delivering Microsoft, VMware and Citrix infrastructure solutions. Produced technical concepts and architecture documentation, and supported presales through consulting, presentations and proofs of concept. The role combined hands-on engineering with customer-facing solution ownership—similar to forward-deployed engineering—and a strong focus on security and reliable operations.

Worked as a System Specialist across Microsoft client/server infrastructure, networking, workplace automation and data center operations. Helped engineer and automate EY's standardized client workplace image, which was deployed globally.
