The Practical Training at TSMC consists of two parts: Newcomer Training Center & Fab15A at TSMC. The Newcomer Center helps to accelerate the Industry-academia Integration and offers four practical Courses and Hand-on Teaching. In the second part, we developed scanner jobs, track recipes and analysed data from various measurement systems. We also contributed to a project on alignment condition optimisation for inline OVL performance and WPH enhancement.
Investigations on the accuracy of interferometric measurements of planeparallel optical surfaces: The Jenoptik buisness unit Operations Optics manufactures optical components of the highest precision, which are primarily used in systems in the semiconductor industry. Interferometers are used to measure the surface shape in the required accuracy range. Increasing demands on optical systems require more and more precise measurements of optical surfaces and wavefronts.
Topic: Investigations on improving the process convergence in ion beam figuring Ion Beam Figuring (IBF) is used as the final step in the processing of optical functional surfaces with the highest demands on accuracy . In this process, an ion beam is used as a tool. The spot of the ion beam is significantly smaller in diameter than the surface to be machined. It is guided over the surface by means of dwell time control in such a way that shape defects are reduced locally.
