At HSBC Egypt S.A.E., my main responsibility was to come up with tangible proposals, and to provide comprehensive services to both borrowing and non-borrowing corporate customers, while ensuring compliance with anti-money laundry banking policies and procedures.

As an Intern in the Input/Output Control Section of the Central Operations Department at HSBC Egypt S.A.E., I assisted in controlling over the input vouchers and insured that they are properly provided for microfilming processing. Adding to that, I was checking that the voucher entries are maintained into the proper accounts. There I learned the main aspects of back-office banking operations.

As an intern in the Overseas Accounts Payable Section in the Finance Department at General Motors Egypt S.A.E., I gained thorough experience in import financing, where I assisted in the bank reconciliation of the accounts payable, in receiving and verifying invoices and requisitions for goods and services, in preparing documentary credits (DC) and importing documents for custom clearance, as well as in monitoring the full cycle of the Accounts Payable processing and daily expense transactions.
