I am working on developing an in vitro model of airway epithelim that could be used to study respiratory viral infections such as Corona Virus, RSV and others. Thus, I am differentiating human induced Pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) to airway epithelium. When this js fully achieved, we would use the models to study the various infections and this could also allow for the study of the mechanism of action of some drugs used in the treatment of these infections as well as their toxicology
