My responsibility was setting up the right infrastructure , choosing the right development team and lead the whole technical project management. We used Symfony 1.2 (Propel), a lot of caching with APC and Memcache for the templates, PHP Objects and Database Queries and the Lucene Search Index. I have been on an extensive Symfony training in Paris at Sensio Labs with Fabien Potencier (he started Symfony) for 2 weeks before we began with the project.
