At R&S I worked in a software development team who were building an integrated test system to be used in the Telco industry for type approval (TA) of mobile phones. The TA system comprised 19” rack measurement hardware driven by a software control platform. The software system was an OO design implemented in Ansi-C. The system implemented tests across multiple technologies, and I worked on the development of a system for use on the WiMax standard, deliverable to an international client base.

Working in the NH90 helicopter software design team coding in Ada. I was responsible for the coding of a special test harness to validate a core area of the helicopter software. Using various in house developed software generators and developing Ada83 using Rational Apex.

3 month contract. Worked in the simulation development department building a Maintenance Simulation Trainer for the Eurofighter project. Project was in the initial stages. I was responsible for investigating various Graphical Modelling tools until the project started running fully. Also learnt the basics of the software tools Matlab and Simulink.

Design, implementation, coding and testing of the software to generate the platform movement messages. A good understanding of mathematical equations relating to the movement of objects was required for this specific area of the design.
