Archaeology

This organization is responsible for the flood protection from the River the Rhine over a vast area of dyked land (45 km). I will help them digitize the dyke in full length, and attempt to build an app that will make it easier for them to maintain the database I will construct with it. The internship position if for a length about 2,5 months. In all likeliness I will finish the task as a volunteer.

I was employed as a sales assistant with an emphasis on customer service, processing orders and troubleshooting. On occasion I also processed inquiries and sales offers. The work I did was with mutual satisfaction. I quickly picked up on the necessary skills, and enjoyed working here. I sometimes still bring some Dutch candy by, and am on amiable terms with people in all departments, from management to the employees in the ware house.

Demonstration about blacksmithing in various periods from the Iron Age to 18th century; explaining about the background of the museum and the research projects.

Clothing designer

Team member in a rescue excavation of an Amerindian (*Cayo) settlement in Argyle, St. Vincent and the Grenadines (Caribbean).

Material Analysis on final neolithic assemblages from the German Lower Mountain range area (metals, ceramics, zooarchaeological material)

Prehistory and Ancient History & Raw Resource Archaeology (Ur-und Frühgeschichte & Wirtschaft-und Rohstoffarchäologie). Research emphasis/interests: archaeometallurgy, experimental archaeology, ancient glass technology and technology transfer.

Archaeology of North-Western Europe, Material Artefact studies; also I enjoyed taking classes in Cultural Anthropology, Carribean , Meso- and South -American archaeology.
