Astro Studios is a collective of hugely talented designers, all of whom bring a unique point of view & skill-set to the table. It's my pleasure collaborating & leading such an innovative team of creatives & producing successful solutions for our ever expanding client base ranging from innovative start-ups through to fortune 500 companies. The studio also functions as a creative platform for numerous internal initiatives & home grown product ideas & ventures.

The move into consultancy work allowed me to diversify into projects for both multinational brands & start-up companies. My role for these clients crossed the boundaries between disciplines involving people research, strategy & interaction design in addition to my lead industrial designer role.

My senior designer role involved specializing within a specific portfolio of products in order to understand & influence more on a range logic or category build-up level opposed to singular propositions. For this I moved to the Peripherals & Accessories account dealing primarily with the headphone range. This role later encompassed PC Accessories including PC speakers, Input devices & Soft goods.

Working initially for The Vtech & AT&T branded products, I soon specialized with the creation of multiple ranges for Vtech Dect telecom range. Role included working from project creation, direction setting and development, through refinement and Manufacturing competencies.Great, fast paced work & a strong, talented team of designers to gain experience with.

2005 D&AD Student Design Awards - Work published in D&AD Annual (Medical - Insulin Inhaler for treatment of type 2 Diabetes) 2004 Student Lighting Awards - LED Luminaires (Finalist)
