I am the main responsible to organize, to develop, to analyze and to communicate four different epigenetic scientific projects. My main project is based on the epigenetic mechanisms activated during acute and chronic pancreatitis and its recovery. Further, I am teaching some courses to medical students at the University of Zurich and am supervising master students and mentoring two young PhD students.

To investigate the role of Uric acid in some medical disorders into the Metabolic syndrome

To asses the neuronal effects on endocrine pancreas: role of dopamine and cannabinoids. Further, I was supervising Master students.

To investigate the effect of dopamine and clozapine in dopaminergic pathways on pancreatic mice islets apoptosis induced by Il-b and others cytokines.

To characterize the molecular basis of cannabinoid action in an experimental mouse model.

Molecular medicine: Epigenetic acetylation mechanisms activated during acute and chronic pancreatitis and other pancreatic disorders related to pancreatic cancer, metabolism, diabetes, inflammation, fibrosis and organ regeneration.
