Martin Glauer

In the DigiMatUS project, I worked with scientists from the field of materials science on a project for the semantic description of thin-film processes and the integration of AI methods into these processes.

In the SzenarienDB project, I continued the work on the Open Energy Platform. In addition, I laid the foundations for the Open Energy Ontology—a semantic knowledge base for the domain of energy system modeling. This ontology has since been adopted in similar efforts by the NFDI4Energy project.

In the open_eGo project, I was the founding developer and lead developer of the Open Energy Platform, a research platform for researchers in energy system modeling. This platform has since become one of the central exchange points for data in this domain.

My research ranges from purely theoretical mathematical considerations to the application-oriented development of innovative solutions. In my early research work, I dealt with the theoretical foundations of formal specification, e.g., for databases and modeling languages such as UML. And then moved to application oriented knowledge representation and AI methods. In my dissertation, I investigted the mutual synergies between formal ontologies and machine learning.
