• Conduct of data management activities (e.g. eCRF design, data cleaning, data validation, data reconciliation, data archiving, testing etc.) according to appropriate SOPs • Supervision of data management tasks which have been outsourced to CRO's • Close collaboration with doctors, statisticians, programmers, drug safety representatives and project managers • Automating of routine tasks by use of SAS and Excel VBA macros to increase efficiency and consistency

• Design and implementation of eCRFs in OpenClinica EDC • Project planning • User support

• Planning, conduct, evaluation and optimization of GLP-conform scientific experiments • Computer based evaluation of large datasets originating from transcriptome analysis and BLAST based DNA/Protein sequence comparisons • Initiation and coordination of collaborations with external workgroups and service providers • Supervision and guidance of technical staff, students and interns
