• Built test rigs - used GD&T, technical drawings, PLM, Arduino to control electronics, DAQ devices, independently sourced laser measurement equipment, used Simulink to model system efficiency etc. • Presented test results and design proposals to senior management and heads of department. • Selected motors, conducted dynamometer and life tests followed by product integration and FMEA. • Designed and developed plastic gear trains with the aid of KISSSOFT analysis software.

• Designed concept multipurpose freight wagon to improve logistics (i.e. CAD structure of the wagon body and load securing devices taking into consideration technical regulations, operational conditions and customer demands) • Designed freight wagon system support components and test rigs (e.g. Equipping flat wagons with new shunter steps & handles)

• Designed automotive suspension links using both Catia and UG NX (depending on client needs)  Together with FEA team, designed components that meet spec (i.e. mass, stiffness, strength etc.). • Designed test fixture assemblies using both Catia and UG NX. • Updated geometrical dimensioning and tolerances on Unigraphics and Catia drawings of various assemblies and parts.

 Designed, executed and analysed experiments to create a patent-pending product which optimizes the hot-stamping process.  Analysis included critical evaluation of microstructures and mechanical properties.  Involved in development of new heat treating process.  Tasks included: redesigning cooling fixture, carrying out experiments in the USA, examining mechanical properties and writing technical reports.

• Used computational fluid dynamics (CFD) research and analysis using Gambit and Ansys Fluent to optimize dimple geometry of heat exchanger (improving heat transfer while minimizing pressure drop). • Researched technical articles to verify results of the CFD study and completed technical report on CFD findings. • Hands-on experience in designing, executing and analyzing experiments to determine heat transfer coefficients of enhanced surfaces in heat exchangers

• Designed temporary construction services (e.g. calculated heat loads to determine size of heaters.) • Managed LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) construction practices and addressed concerns of consultants. • Drafted LEED documents (e.g. Indoor Air Quality Plan) by reviewing CSA and Ontario Building Code. • Assisted risk management team with estimating.

• Monitored quality of construction contracts and reported deviations • Created design for layout of motor-operated window controls for Fort York Armoury • Resolved conflicts and managed correspondence between contractors and DCC managers • Negotiated with suppliers/contractors and created estimates for project costs
