Work on automatically determining correlated attributes within a table and the usage of multi-dimensional statistics in Informix Dynamic Server. Wrote diploma thesis “On Suggesting Multi Column Statistics in Informix Dynamic Servers”

Work on the use of column group statistics in the SQL optimizer of Informix Dynamic Server for increasing the estimation quality of intermediate result cardinalities when handling correlated attributes of a relation. Wrote intermediate diploma thesis “Designing and Implementing a method for the collection of column group statistics”

Work on redesigning algorithms to take advantage of the CELL BE processor. Ported and parallelized Sutherland-Hodgeman Clipping Algorithm. Designed and implemented an algorithm port for calculating the singular value decomposition of a matrix. Wrote thesis: “Porting a streaming algorithm for singular value decomposition to CELL”

Support in the design of a large portal-based (SAP Enterprise portal) eBusiness platform for a big German company.
