Maximilian Rohleder

As a working student at Siemens-Healthineers in the Mobile C-Arms Department, I support my research group in developing novel Deep Learning based imaging solutions. I am thrilled to work with such great people and have the chance to apply my theoretical knowledge in an industrial setting.

Over the summer, I was researching a Deep Learning based approach to material decomposition of dual energy X-Ray data. The spectral information incorporated in dual energy measurements is combined with material specific attenuation coefficients to compute the material composition of X-Ray images. This project was supported by the BaCaTeC initiative with a research grant.

During my time at MethodPark Engineering, I learned a lot about the Internet of Things. I developed Cloud-based IoT solutions with Amazon Web Services, Alexa and ESP-32 based Microcontrollers. I gained experience in micro-controller development using a real-time operating system (freeRTOS by AWS) and prototyped communication systems via MQTT. Finally, I worked on a LoRaWAN Gateway and Receiver model using the Things Network.
