Managing regional Red List projects, in particular Europe and the Mediterranean with an emphasis on plant conservation. I published the European Red List of Vascular Plants in November 2011, focussing on Habitats Directive species, aquatic plants and crop wild relatives. I am coordinating the data submission of experts around Europe and facilitate Red List workshops, not only for plants but also invertebrates.

* Promoting Important Plant Areas in South-East Europe (Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro), * Liaising with partner organisations, * Developing a stakeholder consultation on the European Plant Conservation Strategy, * Project development, fundraising and reporting

* Website maintenance; * Subscription administration and editorial support; * Completing and presenting data on the botany of European countries

Organised seminars for the Latin America section, Provided training in intercultural competences, team work and communication skills for students

Carried out research on a project on agricultural biodiversity strategies and initiatives for sustainable animal and plant breeding, concluding the findings in scientific papers
