The role was initially focused on VP of Engineering tasks, but with the temporary CTO leaving, transitioned to CTO as well. As such the role is focused both outward on the general technical direction of the company, but also focusing inwards on developing and supporting the development team and working closely with product development and marketing.

New feature development, optimization and maintenance for Node/Angular based content analytics system. Development, testing, deployment, documentation and maintenance, with AWS, Kafka and Elasticsearch components. Data analysis and development of AB Testing functionality. All within Scrum based process.

As part of the Product Management Team for Evolution, the heart of Hotelbeds’ Hotel, Car and Services booking and management system, my role was to analyse the feasibility of future enhancements, including architectural planning within the constraints of the enterprise.

I was responsible for all aspects of a technical solution based on Liferay, including strategies for design and development, team allocation, development environment, integration and migration solutions and finally the process of delivering the development solution to production using a number of tools for code quality assurance and continuous integration.

Initially taken on to perform a migration to Bullhorn for a Yachting Industry Recruitment Agency, I designed and implemented a bespoke solution integrating with their custom built in house systems. The role involved creating a CRM solution across numerous companies in the group ranging from recruitment to wealth management.

I ran a software and hardware computer consultancy based in Mallorca, providing a wide range of services across different industries, including web, crm, audio and video and POS.

I ran a small software house specialising in financial solutions. Written in Java and utilising the real time capabilities of the platform we developed real time trading and data solutions to the financial sector.
