Element34 Solutions GmbH is a boutique consulting firm specialized in agile engineering practices and test automation solutions with Selenium. The company founders are key contributors and thought leaders to open source projects such as Selenium, Selendroid and ios-driver.

• Overall responsible for software quality for 12 European eBay sites • Built one of the most innovative and efficient engineering teams within eBay • Open sourced Selenium GRID, which has become the number one open source browser automation toolset worldwide with approx. 2000 downloads / day • Spearheaded and introduced new engineering approaches and technologies that allowed true agile software development • Management of a distributed multi-level and multi-cultural engineering team

• Responsible for delivery of software development projects for the German market • Managed 3rd party software development companies (up to 40 engineers) and data center operator running more than 200 applications for European market • Introduced early involvement of the development and test organization with product management, design, content management and network operations which resulted in increased user experience, faster release cycles and higher software quality

• Responsible for software quality in the eBay DE/AT/CH markets • Introduced first test automation solutions into the global test engineering organization which later resulted in the company wide adoption of Selenium technology as the standard for test automation and open sourcing of Selenium GRID • Functional and line management of Germany based test engineering team

• Developed standards-based communications software for telecommunications equipment manufacturers for wireless, broadband, internet and telephone network infrastructure • Led a team of 3-5 software developers and test engineers for professional services projects (customers included: Alcatel-Lucent, Ericsson, Radisys, AirNet, Siemens)
