Michael Pickering

I am support the running and co-ordination of global social media activity for Regus. My role is focused around developing and exploiting channels to communicate with the company’s target audience in the most efficient and effective way. I also work closely with the Regus EMEA social media spokesperson programme where I assist identifying, training and monitoring Regus' employees at all levels of the business to ensure that they make the best possible use of social media.

Co-founder of the business, with responsibility for marketing and business development, plus field operational management. The latter includes recruitment and management of contract professional yacht crew as well as customer relationship management. High awareness of the importance of effective marketing, role of social media and PR activities, all of which are important to this business.

Overseeing the daily commercial operations of the company and management of the race yacht fleet. Principle responsibilities included: recruiting operations staff, scheduling maintenance, assisting in pre-race management, planning staff and client training as well as skippering. I was personally responsible for a team of 14 staff with an operational budget of £200k.
