January – November 2010: Interim Manager / Consultant for a Semiconductor Company in Shanghai responsible for Design Services and IP-Management.

Heading the Memory Development Center in Cary, NC with about 200 engineers and managers. Responsible for: efficient execution of projects (time, cost, quality), driving high development performance, IP creation, continuous improvement, implementation and adherence to development processes and management systems, optimization of structure and resource allocation for maximum performance, synergy and innovation, as well as coaching, target setting and evaluation of the department managers.

Responsible for setup and operation of the entire site (IC-development center, human resources, information security, finance, facilities, government and university relations) with up to 400 staff working in Communications, u-Controller, ASICs and DRAM-development.

Responsible for the management of the IC-Development Center focusing on wireline-communications (e.g. ADSL), 8-bit u-controller and disc-drive controllers and growing it to more than 200 engineers
